About Us

Five Weapons Team

Here is a more formal introduction as oppose to the one on the Home Page.

This is the team leader, Aysten, master of the whip speaking. Our team has been practicing together for almost 5 years now, it seemed like just last year however, my sister Hameko, master of the throwing weapons arranged this team, gathering only our friends who shared our weapon interest.

AYSTEN:
I have been using the whip since I was 10 years old and always loved it. Of course, before I was instructed, my master strictly told me the whip was the most physically painful to learn, and I might really hurt myself in his training due to the complicated forms I will learn in whip style Wushu. That only made me love it more. I am now 18 and that makes a great 8 years of whip training. I like to call myself a master becuase I mix my own powerful techniques with my old masters trainings, and the outcome is great in sparring. I have only gone through 3 whips. all of which were bull whips (See types of whips here: http://www.whipstore.com/whip_types.htm ) mainly because I love the way they look and the powerful cracks you can get when you strike them.
During my eight years of training, I actually have scarred myself wih the painful strikes on my body from practicing, thankfully now that I am a master I hardly ever hit myself.

HAMEKO
Hello everyone! I am Hameko, master of throwing weapons! I am now 17  years old today, and ever since my older brother, Aysten, gained an interest in the whip, I loved throwing weapons, especially Stilettos, my favorite knife! I am sadly the only female in the group, but I think I can take down all the others except my brother HAHA! No offense to you Daniel. Unlike Aysten, I didn't start training with a master until I was 13, mainly becuase it was like impossible to find a throwing weapon instructor.
But one day my mother found one and wondered if I would join, which I gleefully accepted too. There I leared to throw Stilettos with amazing presicion, and I zoomed throught he ranks very quickly, as if I was born to use these weapons. Then, last year, I got hooked on the nickolodean series Avatar: The Last Airbender, and I loved that show to death. I realized that one of the characters: Mai, was so much like me! She used all these weapons I knew, even a Sai! But our personalitites were different. Here is the site where you can see the weapons WE use!: http://avatar.wikia.com/wiki/Mai's_Stilettos
The only things I use that Mai doesn't is Shurikens and Kunais.

DANIEL
Hey guys, what's up? I'm Daniel, master of the sword. I was the first one Aysten and Hameko chose to be in their team which I glady joined. They wanted me becuase I have been training with the sword since I was 9. Much earlier than everyone else on this team... I am the oldest on the team today at 22 years old, haha, I hang out with kids.... Who can kill you in three seconds! We were friends in elementary, and now we are weapon master friends.
If your wondering, I have, and always will, use the sword style called Kendo. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kendo ) I call myself a master becuase I can pretty much do anything with a sword haha! that's it! ...Bye!

KYLER
Hello all! I am Kyler, master of Nunchucks in the Five Weapons Team of martial arts weapon training! (FWTMAWT) haha long title so we just say Five Weopns. I started learning the way of the Nunchuck at the age of 12, but I have never had lessons. I went through a lot of painful self trainings becuase my parents could never afford lessons, but oh well. I may have self taught myself, but hell I'm REALLY good. When I call myself a master publicly, people are all like, "No your not! You've never even had lessons!" Actually I in a way have. I read a lot online and watch instructional videos, and then people are like, "Thats not real training! You need to learn from a real person!" And I just say, Kung Fu is Kung Fu no matter where it is taught. Either from person or computer, It is still Kung Fu. Becuase I also specialize in fist combat. Well thats pretty much it, but everyone else has some link on their bio so I guess heres a link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nunchaku

REGGIE
Wuzzup! I'm Reggie, Master of the staff! Even though Daniel up there claims he started training before us all, it's not true. I started learning staff after him, but I started learning Monkey Style Kung Fu at age 3. HAHA crazy I know. Anyway, I am the awesome asian of the group, along with the other asains Aysten and Hameko! I started training with staff at age ten, and now I am 19. (Older than Aysten! Ha!) I used to gather wooden sticks from the woods nearby, and play outside with my friends, defeating them with my skills, lol. Eventually I met Aysten, and when the team was created, I was the second person he added to the team! If you remember Aysten up there talking about how he has gone through 3 bull whips before... I have gone through HUNDREDS of staves! I break so many of them, I use forest brances, broken broom handles, and real staves from martial arts stores, all of which I break in spar or practice. hehe... but I recently bought bought a six hundred dollar iron bo staff, so this time it won't brake, I might just bend it though.. anyway, here is my link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monkey_Kung_Fu
